Ross brings over nine years of teaching experience and staff development work to the BNFSC with specialty in adolescent literacy. His journey in education began as a Teach for America Corps member, and he worked in his placement school for over seven years. During his tenure with the Department of Education he graduated from the Teacher Leadership Program and the Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program through the Office of Leadership. Ross was invited to develop curriculum for a Leadership Seminar in the Levermore Global Scholars Program at Adelphi University and taught as an Adjunct Professor in the program for four years. After being selected as a Model Teacher, he developed systems for inter-visitations and professional learning. Ross holds a B.A. in English and Communications from Adelphi University, an M.S. in Education from Lehman College and a School Building Leadership Certificate from Baruch College.
