Telephone: (718) 935-3932

Prior to joining the BNFSC team, Megan worked as a Literacy Coach, coordinator of the Response to Intervention (RTI) team, and as a classroom teacher in a variety of elementary settings. She has developed a strong belief that students flourish academically when they feel safe and included in the classroom. Thus, she has conducted action research on building classroom communities and teacher-learning communities through a MetLife Fellowship from The Teachers Network Leadership Institute. She continues to share this passion as an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University. Megan came into teaching in 2000 through the first Teaching Fellows cohort and has since supported new Fellows in the classroom during summer field training. She holds an MA in Elementary Education and Leadership, both from Brooklyn College.
