Kimberley is excited to be a member of the Brooklyn North Team as a Math Instructional Lead. She started her teaching career as a NYC Teaching Fellow in 2003 and taught middle school mathematics for eight years in District 26 and District 8. Kimberley spent two years as a Mathematics Achievement Coach with one of the networks in Cluster 2 where she continued to support District 26 schools in the area of mathematics instruction. Before joining Brooklyn North Kimberley was the Math Coach and Dean of Student Discipline in a District 26 school. Kimberley successfully completed the Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program (LEAP) in June of 2017 and possesses her School Building Leadership Certification through Baruch College. Kimberley holds her BA from Wesleyan University where she majored in American Government and Public Policy. Kimberley holds her MS from CUNY City College in Secondary Mathematics Education. Kimberley is excited about math instruction and believes that when complicated math concepts are grounded in useful, real world application all students can achieve at high levels.
