Instructional Technology Director

Telephone: (718) 935-5797

Eileen worked for many years as an actress and teaching artist prior to becoming a New York City Teaching Fellow. She spent several years teaching both general education and students with disabilities with the intent of working toward closing the literacy achievement gap in New York City middle schools. In addition to teaching, Eileen took on many leadership roles in schools such as grade team leader and new teacher mentor. This led her to make a shift from the classroom to taking on a new challenge as an Implementation Manager for iLearnNYC, a community of schools dedicated to blended and online learning to expand current school boundaries that limit how and when a student can learn. Eileen is very passionate about reading and spent the last few years working as a literacy coach for the Middle School Quality Initiative. Eileen holds a BA in Theatre from DeSales University and a Master’s of Science in Education from Long Island University.
