Abigail joined the BNFSC after nine years in the classroom, having taught middle and high school English and Social Studies in Brooklyn and Queens.  She has been a Teacher Development Coach with New York City Teaching Fellows and a Lead Curriculum Developer with Network 403.  She is a National Board Certified Teacher, and earned her School Building Leader certificate with LEAP.  She is currently completing her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with School District Leader certification at Baruch College's School of Public Affairs.  Abigail’s professional specialties include programming schools to maximize instructional time, supporting teachers in building classroom community, and planning lessons driven by data and student needs.  She also focuses on using social media to engage school communities in ongoing professional learning, and engaging all stakeholders in the school programming process.
